Psycho- Somatic Therapy is a body-oriented therapeutic approach developed by Annapurna to resolve trauma and stress responses. It works with the nervous system’s innate capacity for self-regulation and healing.
Unlike talk therapy, Psycho- Somatic Therapy focuses on body sensations, not just thoughts and emotions. It works directly with the nervous system and family system to release stored survival energy — helping where talk therapy alone cannot reach.
Psycho- Somatic Therapy helps with trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, grief, developmental trauma, early childhood wounding, and somatic (body-level) symptoms of stress.
In a 100-minute session, Annapurna guides you to gently track sensations in your body, expand your capacity for regulation, and release held patterns of tension or collapse — at your own pace.
Yes. Psycho- Somatic Therapy is specifically designed for trauma survivors. It uses pendulation — moving between activation and calm — to ensure the process never overwhelms the nervous system.
This varies per person. Many clients notice shifts in 4–6 sessions; deeper or developmental trauma may benefit from longer work. Annapurna will discuss your needs in the first session.
